Question 1

The natural character of wood

Accepted Answer

Grain, knots and colour variations give each log wall its own character. Wood responds to moisture and temperature. Structure, ventilation and maintenance are therefore planned together.

Question 2

Wood and climate

Accepted Answer

Wood is a renewable raw material that stores carbon while it remains in the building. A home’s climate impact also depends on sourcing, manufacturing, transport, energy use and service life. Comparisons therefore need to consider the full life cycle.

Question 3

Why we use laminated logs

Accepted Answer

Our logs are made from bonded wood laminations. This allows logs to be produced with consistent dimensions for the structure. Laminated logs remain a natural wood material: movement and cracking can occur, so suitable finishes and maintenance matter.

Question 4

Machine precision and care at every stage

Accepted Answer

The logs are machined to the home’s drawings. This method supports precise, repeatable processing of profiles and joints. Planning, material checks and assembly are equally important parts of the craft.
